So Whats all the HUB BUB?

A lot of people are using the terms "liberal" and "conservative"

"Liberals" are idealistic people who believe that society can be changed for the better, and that government can be used as an instrument of such change.

"Conservatives" are people who have a more "realistic" viewpoint money rules, greed, not altruism, is what drives human behavior; and human nature is so powerful that society can never be changed (except to strengthen the institutionalization of greed).

But, if we had not had millions of idealistic people working over the past several hundred years, each doing their bit to make the world a better place, then we would still have public hangings, and open sewers running down the middle of our streets, just to name a few.

The forces of greed and corruption have become very powerful in recent years. I can only encourage idealistic people to keep struggling, to fight the inertia, to continue working to make the world a better place.

Here's my little spiel on the matter, entitled "Conservatism: the Doctrine of Ignorance."

Conservatism is the by definition the belief that things (people, morals, laws) should remain static. This ideology can theoretically only exist when a society has reached the point when it no problems that cannot be attributed to individual shortcomings, if any. As such, conservatism in the present is the ideology of the power hungry, the demagogues thirsting on the idleness and apathy and ignorance of the uninformed. It can only survive on the stupidity and/or apathy of the general public, who do not know or do not wish to know of the problems that trouble the underclass. How else can poor country folk continue to elect those that only have an interest in futhering themselves.

Londwinded and angry...yes, but true.

I think that a liberal is someone with an open mind who believes that we can always change things for the better. They are more apt to think “outside of the box” than a conservative who opposes changing things and wants to go by the already established rules for instance. To me, a conservative is an ordinary man in a boring black suit just going with the crowd, while a liberal is someone who stands out ready to institute reform and wants his voice heard over all the others. I know that conservatives believe money can solve problems, but money cannot solve all problems, and if it can solve them, it might not be able to in a timely manner.

Well, gouls, to me a conservative is someone who believes in regulation of spending. We also believe in having responsibility, to our citizens, our neighbors, our children, and oursevles. We opt to not waste money on useless things. We ARE NOT greedy, because we are against the redistribution of wealth for everyone. We believe in eaqual opportunity for everyone. Everyone deserves to have a piece of the pie, but you must be a part of the pie to begin with. This means that in order to reap the benefits of our grand nation, you must contribute to it, not just mooch off of it.

We believe in faith and morals. There is so much smut about, everywhere. I don't want to see it, and surely don't want my children to. For some reson, liberals don't seem to mind it.

Every liberal I have ever met is angry and rude. Most never have a valid argument, and resort to trying to make me look foolish by name calling. It only makes them look stupid. I don't hate liberals, as people, only their liberalism. In my opinion, it's ruining our society.

The liberals have no ideas about how we can progress our country. Saying that conservatism is static is completely asinine. Do you think that abortion rights are progression? You've got to be insane! But go on killing your babies.

I take comfort in knowing that there tryly is a 'silent majority', as Dick Nixon put it. Who keeps winning elections? The liberals are loud and obnoxious. The (left-leaning) news media, and their little polls, taken in San Franciso, NYC, and Boston, try to suggest that most Americans oppose the Bush Administration and especially the war. Well, guess what polls are truly accurate and really matter? It's called election. Get a clue. Being loud and obnoxious doesn't win elections. Good ideas do. Get a clue. Tell that to Cindy Sheehan, and Jesse Jackson. I love my country and hate to hear those who talk down on it. The Democratic Party leans so far to the left nowadays, thay might as well just be called the Socialist Party. And oh yeah, we've seen how well socialism works. Look at the prosperity of African nations. Socialism is a horrible idea. Good education and hard work always pay off. Capitalism only does not work for the lazy.

Most liberals that I know think they know everything, but in reality, have no idea what their talking about. Most of them are dropouts and drug addicts, who want to legalize pot. These people despise religion. They despise war, no matter what the reson is. They forget to think about the consequences though. Just my $.02, but I defy any liberal to give a valid argument against my ideals.
